Things had changed - for the better, since our last visit 2 years ago. Still all spotlessly clean, rooms still had a fridge, but the safe was now included.

Again, meals and drinks could be taken in the Tanit but the Cala Gracio now has it's own recently refurbished restaurant, bar, lounge and terrace, all very civilised. A waiter/ess serves drinks and main courses to your table. There was plenty of choice on the buffet (for most people), although it was not quite as extensive as at the Tanit, but was a much nicer environment. Bar staff gave you real glasses and cups/saucers rather than plastic/polystyrene unless you were taking it to the pool area. Wine came from bottles rather than taps, though both were ok. Staff in both hotels were very pleasant and helpful, but we thought the evening entertainment a bit weak.

The Cala Gracio pool area is now adult only and has a new Jacuzzi, available to clients of both hotels. We always managed to find somewhere shaded when we wanted to.

We used the obligatory all-inclusive service as a convenience rather than a reason to miss the delights of Ibiza: we tried the train from San An for the first time - very enjoyable and entertaining - the driver is something of a comedian! We visited some old favorites like Java (off the bay road) and Jacaranda in Es Cana. Some local friends introduced us to the excellent David's Pizzeria in C. Madrid in San An and Mariners in Sta. Eularia (on the front) (excellent food & entertainment).

The hotel was really nice, so nice in fact we extended our holiday for a further week.
The rooms were a little small but really modern with really nice bathrooms which included a jacuzzi bath and also had a hairdryer.
The small dining room was really nice and very peaceful, there maybe could of been more choice but there was always something we liked, and also you could go over to the hotel tanit to eat were there was alot more choice but also alot more noise and people.
The hotels swimming pools were really nice especially with the 2 adult only 1's, there was the odd couple of guest who brought children by the pool which is something i would not of done, but the children were not much trouble.
It is a hotel i would recommend and i will also be booking a return visit.
It was great i could get wifi in the bedroom the only downside was there was no english channels on the television.
The hotel as access to the beach which was great, located far enough from the centre so there was no noise but only took 10 minutes to walk or 6 euro in a taxi.
