DJ Alfredo and son Jaime mix the Spotlight Album

Join us this Friday at Boutique Hostal Salinas to celebrate the launch of our Summer 2012 Album, mixed by Alfredo and his son Jaime

By Spotlight

After being in love with Ibiza and the island's club scene for so many years, when we had the chance to release our own mix album, it was an easy decision in the Spotlight Office to choose which DJ to mix it.

DJ Alfredo is one of the pioneers of the dance scene. It was his early morning eclectic sets in Amnesia in 1987 which inspired Danny Rampling and Paul Oakenfold to return to the UK and start their own clubs, which in turn signalled the birth of acid house and the club scene in the UK. He is a true legend. Here he is with his son Jaime in the old Amnesia DJ booth:

Today, Alfredo djs with his son Jaime as the Heritage Project. Together they play in Ibiza for We Love, at the Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes, whilst also jetting off regularly to play at clubs such as Ministry Of Sound.

Alfredo and Jaime have put all their love of music into our album: blending classical tracks from their collection with newer, fresher cuts to give us their own unique version of the Summer in Ibiza. Available in iTunes from 30th July.

We are extremely proud to have them mix the album for us and would like to invite you all to celebrate this with us at the Boutique Hostal Salinas this Friday from 7.30pm at the Album Launch Party. Alfredo and Jaime will naturally be playing, there will be drinks and tapas and most of Spotlight will be there celebrating! Please join us...
