David Guetta Free Party at Dalt Vila, Ibiza on May 26th

Tickets for IMS Ibiza International Music Summit Grand Finale Festival @ Dalt Vila

As part of the events surrounding IMS, the French electro-pop star will preside over a free party in the open air environs of Dalt Vila in Ibiza Town.

THERE ARE NO MORE FREE TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR THIS EVENT

The event will be on Thursday 26th May from 19:00 and will take place in the same location as Friday's IMS Grand Finale, the Baluarte de Santa Lucia inside the walls of Ibiza Town's Dalt Vila.

In effect, this unprecedented event will act as a giant pre-party for Guetta's F*** Me I'm Famous opening party at Pacha later the same night. Guetta stars alongside Nervo and - given that half the electronic music world will be in Ibiza at the time - we're sure there'll be other Guetta friends along to join the party too.

Naturally, the demand for this event is going to be astronomical and entrance has to be strictly managed and will be guestlist and/or tickets only. The good news is that Spotlight have 500 tickets available for the event and in conjunction with IMS, these will be given to the first 500 people who buy tickets for the IMS Grand Finale on Friday 27th May.

Anybody who has already purchased tickets for the Grand Finale is already entitled to the same amount of tickets to the David Guetta free pre-party. For those people, full details and confirmation of how to redeem your tickets will be given shortly. When the 500 are gone, they're gone, so be quick!

A unique occasion to see one of music's biggest names in the stunning location of Ibiza Town's World Heritage Site, Dalt Vila.

Agree with Alphonse and the others.

Each to their own when it comes to house, while I wouldn't go to see Guetta for the money he charges (in pacha) I can see his place in the current scene and good luck to him.

Funnily enough he's just been added to the Monegros desert festival line-up and all i'm seeing in the spanish clubbing forums is complete outrage seeing as it's supposed to be a techno festival.

Just don't see him if and that's it. And if he plays to 10 people they know not book him next time.

but the internet would be a very boring place if everyone just agreed all the time :D

Fed up with all this musical snobbery and elitism in house....

Although I agree with some of what is said about the current state of play, it's not any of our place to judge. Just let them get on with it we'll do our thing...

If it's for a good cause then who are we to judge...
Exactly.

I was thinking about this on the way to work today. It really pisses me off when people slag other peoples tastes off. Its all hoarses for courses at the end of the day, if we all liked the same thing the world would be so f***ing boring. So yeah there are mainstream commercial Dj's that preople love, then there are the underground Dj's that other prople love, it doesnt make on or the other right or wrong, and it certainly doesnt make one Dj a bellend and the other not.

Lets all just live in peace FFS. 8)

My fave dj for years, Danny T, is probably commercial in the eyes of the hardcore dance scene ppl, but he has a genuine passion for the music imho. He has gone through hormonal stages but ultimately loves the genre for it's roots, and could have surely 'sold out' many times through his career?
I to love danny t, from groove jet Miami and since, but I don't agree he "could have sold out anytime" it's not easy to write a hit record, many try all the time and never manage it. Some do it but never manage to repeat it. If they could do it almost all would do it and take the money. The reality is you have to be good at it and very very lucky. We all know a hit record doesnt have to be an amazing musical peice but it does need to be a hit.To be honest even without music being made once a dj is making more than an average wage for spinning then he has commercialized his work, and why not.

It becomes mainstream when it starts getting played on the radio or it appears in the pop charts, hardcore music types would call mainstream anything played on the radio weather it's pop or on a specialist show e.g. Pete tong.
