Ibiza Anthems - 1996

1996 was the year that put trance on the map, bringing it out of the underground and into the mainstream. The songs below could be heard everywhere from Pacha, to Privilege to Space. And who could ever forget songs like Insomnia and Children - songs which have probably had a bigger impact on the current day trance movement than any others. I still remember going completely wild upon hearing Insomnia in Privilege, and crying after hearing Children for the first time.

Fantastic melody and very fat bass.

Professional Widow - Tori Amos
Armand Van Helden mix which tore up discos everywhere. Great bass line!

Want Love - Hysteric Ego
Very big house hit playing to the popularity of speed garage at that time.
