Bora Bora Ibiza - party on the beach!

History

Bora Bora is about as iconic a name as it gets when talking about the special party atmosphere of Ibiza. A small beach bar made famous by wild daytime shenanigans and being the place to have your before, during and after party around whatever was happening at Space, the Disneyland of clubs situated only 100 metres away.

Changes down the years mean that Bora Bora has evolved to include a refurbished mini-club inside that thumps till 6am after the terrace closes at midnight.

Meanwhile, sound restrictions have made 4.30pm, when the music can be turned up loud, a real party starting moment; bang goes the volume, muscle beach guys and silicone soul women suddenly appear and before you know you’re dancing on a table next to Spiderman. Cool!

Location

In the centre of the resort of Playa d'en Bossa, directly on the beach, as part of the Jet complex. Super cool - to stay right next to Bora Bora in the Jet Apartments!

Take the no. 14 bus from Ibiza Town and you'll be there in 20 minutes, a taxi also doesn't cost much.

Music Policy

In 2009, regular residents and well respected DJs of the order of Oliver Lang and Gordon Edge will be back as ever to provide the best summer anthems and freshest house vibes to get you right in the mood.

Areas of the Bora Bora

Most of the action in fact takes place on the tables under the open sky. Without the people it just looks like any other beach bar but when every available surface is covered in a heaving mass it becomes a living thing.

The glassed dj booth is a under cover at the far end of the bar but be sure to heed the advice written on the notices outside regarding song requests and placement of drinks.

In daylight hours the action stretches all the way down to the water's edge as clubbers rest or dance on the rented loungers, but when the sun goes down a blue tarpaulin is stretched between posts at the edge of the sand that signal the border of Bora Bora.

At midnight on the dot the music on the terrace is turned off and everybody moves inside. Inside Bora Bora it is quite small and intimate, here the party goes on until early morning.

Prices

Totally free entrance all day and all night. Drinks however can get pricey, especially after 6pm. Expect to pay standard club prices - 7-8€ for a beer and 8-12 for long drinks.
