Cream Ibiza Radio 1 Live from Privilege

Cream, BBC Radio 1 and Privilege all go big on Ibiza.

Each Thursday, Cream holds one of the biggest parties on the island at Amnesia with some of the biggest artists in the musical spheres of trance, house and EDM. You wouldn't have thought they could go much bigger than that, but there's no doubt their annual collaboration with the UK based BBC Radio 1 show during their 'BBC Radio 1 in Ibiza' weekender on Saturday 2nd August is the peak of their season.

BBC Radio 1 will broadcast the Essential Mix live from Privilege - the worlds biggest club holding 10,000 people - to thousands upon thousands more people around the world.

Having been involved in a fair few of these parties over the last few seasons, I can personally account for the monumental size of the party in every aspect - sound, lighting, pyrotechnics, artists involved, club size, etc - but something you should take note of this year is the step up in the line-up. Let me be clear, the previous years line-ups are not what you would call 'small', with some of the biggest artists for Cream and BBC radio 1 being involved, but this year both parties have certainly stepped things up several notches.

Before we run through who's playing, we can announce that we have an EXCLUSIVE allocation of 100 earlybird tickets for this show, priced at 55€. Once this allocation has been sold, ticket prices go up to the standard of 60€. You won't find the earlybird tickets anywhere else, so act fast and save yourself a little cash in the process.

BBC Radio 1 is of course heavily represented, with Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Mistajam, Danny Howard, Friction, B Traits and Toddla T all having their own shows on the radio station whilst being independent DJ jocks in their own right. Joining these stalwarts of the modern music world will be some champions of their respective scenes.

Above & Beyond are widely regarded as some of the biggest artists in electronic music and one of the few original artists to still be flying the 'proper' trance flag... loud and proud. We love them here at Spotlight! Next up is Sasha, who will be doing a very special back-to-back session with Pete Tong... two artists well deserving of the overly used 'legends' title within dance music. Of the headline artists we also have Steve Angello, an artist set to play Cream Ibiza on Thursday on 24th July. He may have gone his separate ways since the days of the Swedish House Mafia but this has meant more control over his music and schedule and Cream have benefitted nicely from this.

Further, we have Wilkinson joining the drum 'n' bass massive at the event. His 2013 album 'Lasers Not Included' was filled with proper D'n'B vibes and will no doubt lay on some bad boy party tracks with the likes of Friction, for us all to go nuts to. Oliver $ dropped one of the biggest tracks of recent times in 'Pushing On' on Defected Records (released March 2014) and has spent the last few years being a hugely in demand DJ on the circuit. Huxley is also having a big year, spreading his London made wings to the island of Ibiza and the guy garners a huge amount of respect within the industry itself.

Secondcity is an artists you should know by now through his 'I Wanna Feel' track. Already massive, you can expect to see him and hear this track - along with plenty more of course - at the party, with T Williams completing the line-up as one of BBC Radio 1's 'In new DJ's We Trust'.

The party takes place on Saturday 2nd August at Privilege, San Rafael, Ibiza. Things kick off at 11pm and this will undoubtedly be hugely popular, so we advise you get there early to find yourself a nice spot down the front. We'll see all 10,000 of you in a few months, yeah?
