Beer Festival; Santa Gertrudis, Ibiza.

Old Oscar Wilde was right when he said that 'Work is the curse of the drinking classes,' as I've just had to clock on during a public holiday to bring you probably the best news article in the world. Even if you don't give an XXXX about anything else, this no nonsense article will refresh the parts other articles cannot reach.

One year on from Beer Fest IV, Santa Gertrudis proves that good things come to those who wait, as Beer Fest V takes place next weekend, 31st August, 1st and 2nd September as the amber nectar will flow freely from beer o'clock (that's 20.00 in English) each evening.

Whether you're in Ibiza for clubbing, beaching, or indeed, only here for the beer, the 65 brands of ale on offer look good, taste good and by golly, they do you good.

But it gets better – there's a tapas bar in situ, picnic areas and good old fashioned entertainment from some of Ibiza's top DJ's, the ones who play records everyone knows; DJ Javi Box of Flowerpower fame on Friday and Sunday, and Las Movidas, Petit and Vazquez, specialising in 80's memoribilia.

So there we are, it all takes place near the church in the centre of the village so why not pop along and have a tipple? It would be rude not to.
