a bit of culture in the evenings
Friday nights in July, August and September will take on a cultural aspect thanks to Ibiza council and funds from the Balearic Government. They've recognised that visitors to the island are probably on the beaches during the daytime but might want to sample a bit of culture in the evenings.
So, Fridays in summer, called White Nights, will see many of Ibiza's museums – amongst them the Madina Yebisa, Archaeological Museum and Diocesan Museum - open until 01.00 hours!
If that wasn't exciting enough they've also got a series of concerts in different areas of the city planned too, and all for free. Well, when I said planned, I meant partially planned – here's the first three Friday's worth in July.
2, 21.30 - Coda @ Cathedral, 23.00 Rels @ Sant Pere Battlements
9, 21.30 - Coda @ Cathedral, 22.30 Bossa Nova @ Centro s'Alamera, 23.00 TBC @ Sant Pere Battlements
16, 20.00 – Can Blau @ Cathedral, 22.30 Lost Mountain Orchestra @ Centro s'Alamera, 23.00 Rels @ Sant Pere Battlements
