Ibiza Summer Concerts

Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias

A couple of big concerts have been announced as taking place in Ibiza this summer and the names of superstars like Madonna and Justin Timberlake have been bandied about as taking part.

One concert we can definitely confirm is that of Miguel Bosé who will bring his tour of Spanish speaking countries to Ibiza on 1st August. As yet no venue has been announced for this, though on his last visit in 2008 he played to a packed Recinto Ferial in Ibiza town.

The other event on the cards is the Ibiza Music Festival which is due to take place on 24th and 25th July in the San Rafael Trotting track with artists such as Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, Beth Ditto (The Gossip), Holly Johnson and Penny Ford invited.

However, invited is the operative word, as only Penny Ford has actually confirmed her presence and none of the other artists have signed contracts. The German organiser of the concert says that there will be an official presentation and press conference in June by which time we will know if contracts have indeed been signed.
