4000 tonnes of salt
You've probably heard that Britain was snowed back into the stone ages recently with transport breaking down, no salt for the roads, schools closing, no bread in the shops, much of the football postponed and where Scotland was probably the worst hit with temperatures of MINUS 22 degrees!

Help is on the way from Ibiza. A cargo vessel, the good ship German Sky, left the jetty at Las Salinas salt works (see photo above) at 19.00 yesterday carrying 4000 tonnes of salt. She's bound for Dundee where the salt will be used to make the roads passable once again.
