three times more than the normal population
If you've ever had the feeling that you're not alone in Ibiza in August, new figures released today prove that you're right.
The department of Earth Sciences at the University of the Balearic Islands has made a study of socio-economic sustainability in Ibiza which shows that on August 15th 2008 there were no less than 409,198 people on the island. That's three times more than the normal population of 134,200.
Even more impressive are the same figures for Formentera, where seven times the normal population were on the island!
