bigger, better equipped and has more medical disciplines
There will be a new medical centre operational in Ibiza from tomorrow when San Antonio's new health facility opens. It replaces the old medical centre which was bursting at the seams trying to cope with a burgeoning population and a massive influx of tourists every summer.
The new centre is situated at the side of the new bus station in town and is bigger, better equipped and has more medical disciplines than the old one. It's also easier to find and has better (ie more than none) parking facilities.
It was actually completed some months ago and the plan was to open with a flourish concurrent with San Antonio's Fiesta celebrations. I'm pleased to say that the fiesta was only 5 weeks ago so well done to everyone concerned.
Perhaps of most interest to our European Union readers is that anyone who's had an accident or is suffering from some ailment should go here – the doors on the side of the building is marked “Urgencis” - for free treatment using the EHIC card.
