traditional country crafts
There's a fiesta dedicated to all things rural and agricultural in Ibiza this weekend. It's the Fiesta of San Isidro (Sant Isidre in Catalan) which takes place every year in the village of San Jose on the third Sunday of May.
So, come the 16th and the village will play host to pigs, goats, horse drawn carts and traditional country crafts like spinning, weaving and basket making.
It's fascinating to see and gives a picture of life as it was not that long ago in Ibiza. Eagle eyed readers may have noticed that I've used last year's poster to illustrate the article, but don't worry, they've used the same poster for the last 10 years or more, only the date changes!
