the best tapas and pintxos.
Ibiza becomes tapa heaven this weekend as part of the San Antonio festivities. For two days competition will rage between six of the best restaurants in San Antonio as they go head to head in a
public vote to decide which makes the best tapas and pintxos.
One of Ibiza's most
lauded young chefs, José Miguel Bonet, has organised the tapa taste-off with his own restaurant Es Ventall competing against Can Tixedó, Es Verro, Ample 32, Villa Manchega and Island Cafe in the big
marquee erected for the festivities in San An.
A tapa will set you back a mere €3 and a pintxo, only €1.50 and each restaurant will provide a selection of food. At the end of the session you can cast your vote for the best tapa and the
best pintxo.
All six of these restaurants are amongst my personal favourites and I'd highly recommend a visit to the marquee to take advantage of some superb food at affordable prices.
As you can see, the dates are the 24th and 25th from 13.00 to 16.00 and 20.00 to 24.00.
See you there?
