Ibiza's many immigrants from all over Spain have brought their own gastronomy and regional cooking with them too. It's therefore possible to sample delicious food from the entire country in just a small place.
The place to be on a Thursday in Ibiza is San Antonio where the council have promoted a scheme called 'Pintxa Sant Antoni 09' where 20 bars will provide a tapa accompanied by a beer or wine for a low, low price. Designed to demonstrate that San Antonio isn't just fun in summer, the tapa run kicks off this Thursday 12th March with prices fixed at just €1!
There's a map in all the bars showing the 'route of the tapa' and a the council have issued this sound advice for all participants: Don't have a big afternoon snack, tell your family you'll be home late, and leave the mother-in-law at home.
What a way to start the weekend!
