Santa Eulalia council is really pulling out all the stops to liven up the town's Christmas economy in these recessionary days. You may have read in our blog about the Rutapa cheap tapas scheme and the local produce market on the 5th to 8th December, and now we're going to tell you about 'Your Lucky Saturday.'

To encourage folks into the town to spend, spend, spend, there'll be music and entertainment in the street, free parking, a raffle to win a car and much more.

On Saturday 5th December at 18.30 the big switch on of the Christmas illuminations takes place and a New Orleans style Jazz band will march through the streets, on 12th the music is from Marcelo, and the 19th it's Dixieland jazz.

Sounds like a good excuse to go and do some Christmas shopping.
