hunger and temptation got the better of them
The Guardia Civil's Organised Delinquency and Antidrug team made an enormous haul of drugs in Ibiza this week and all thanks to the sweet tooth of two lorry drivers.
The two truckers were bringing a load of chocolate to Ibiza from Madrid when hunger and temptation got the better of them and decided to sample some of the chocolate.
Little did they know that the chocs concealed hallucinogenic magic mushrooms and the only trip the drivers wanted was to the local hospital.
Clever police went to the address the 'chocolates' were bound for and arrested a Dutchman in possession of over 30,000 ecstasy pills and enough raw material to make another 54,000 stashed in a cupboard.
Two days later the lorry drivers are still reported to be a little confused! We suspect that any future consignments of illegal drugs will be disguised in healthy salads and pasta to prevent truckers sampling them!
