March 2nd to 8th
Ibiza has a fabulous treat for foodies next month when Gastronomy Week returns to Ibiza Town. It's a collaboration between the council, ecological agriculturists, 16 restaurants and not forgetting
us, the great Ibiza public!
The event is built around food, not only eating it, but also listening to talks about it and learning to cook it. There'll be exhibitions, talks and classes for both professionals and the general
public.
However to cut to the chase, there'll be special menus available in the main week – March 2nd to 8th – in the participating restaurants which are (in alphabetical order) Abadía, Antonio,
Avenida, Bistró Menú, Ca n´Alfredo, Can Friends, Civet, Delicatessen San Martín, El Cigarral, Ké Kafé, Le Relais, s´Ametller, Sa Nansa, Sa Vianda and Il Vinaino. Diners here receive a 'restaurant
passport' which, if it is stamped in 3 different restaurants entitles its owner to a cookery book!
And if you can't make it to one of the eateries don't worry, because there's a grand Tapa tasting in the marquee on the Vara de Rey, when tapas from all the restaurants can be sampled for €1
each!
Bon Profit.
