change in philosophy

The latest figures from Ibiza airport demonstrate how the low cost airlines have revolutionised how we travel and book our holidays. Today's savvy travellers no longer need the cocoon of safety provided by the big tour operators. Instead, they prefer the freedom to travel where they want, find their own accommodation and stay for the period they want.

The number of passengers arriving at Ibiza airport this year on low cost flights has increased by 51% on last year – though the Ryanair flights throughout the winter did not exist last year. In the same period the corresponding charter flight figures were 20% down.

This has meant a big change in philosophy from most hotel owners who were accustomed to seeing their clients brought in from northern Europe by British, German and Scandinavian tour operators. Now, they have to handle their own reservations and customer service.

We're pleased to say that at Ibiza Spotlight, we've aided and abetted this travel revolution by developing a secure booking system for hotel accommodation on the island and elsewhere.

Why not give it a try?
