a shortage of fireworks

Thousands of Valencians who live in Ibiza will be celebrating the most important day of the year this weekend – The Fallas. Held on the 19th in Valencia, it always takes place the following weekend in Ibiza and everyone's invited!
Ses Variades (behind the Cafe del Mar) is the venue and the fun starts today with lots of kids' activities. Throughout today, Saturday and Sunday there'll be music, dancing, paella-a-plenty and at 22.00 on Sunday the traditional 'crema' or burning of the fallas.
This year, because of difficulties transporting 'dangerous cargoes' there's a shortage of fireworks on the island, but the Valencian community have scoured every nook and cranny in Ibiza to get as many as they possibly can to make the traditional firework display go with a bang!
