Ibiza: Caught on Camera

Keen photographer Jordi Gavalda has captured thousands of images of Ibiza on his camera. His unique photos of its land and seascapes are displayed proudly on sites like Flickr and his own blog.

But no-one was more surprised than Jordi to see five of his photos on display in Anita's Bar in San Carlos as part of a photography competition in that village's fiestas. He hadn't actually entered any of his photos, but someone else had, and claimed them as their own work.

Two people had downloaded 5 photos from Jordi's site and one from the site of a friend of his, Andreu Vicens, and were attempting to win prizes of photographic material and equipment worth €1,500!! The organisers of the competition have now withdrawn the photos in question from the exhibition and competition.
