a distinctly European flavour

The dates and line up for this year's Ibiza Jazz Festival have at long last been announced. It'll cover the three nights of 4th, 5th and 6th September and will take place in two venues – the newly created Espai Eivissa (EE) at 20.00, which is by the old market at the big ramp entrance to Dalt Vila and the Baluarte Sant Pere (BSP) at 21.30, which is above Portal Nou in the Reina Sofia Park.

There's a distinctly European flavour this year with French vocalist Mina Agossi topping the bill but there will, of course, be American involvement when the TBC Brass Band from New Orleans hits the streets of the old town on each night of the festival.

The running order is
Thursday 4th, Gerard Guse (EE), Citric and Kristian Brink Quartet (BSP)
Friday 5th, Muriel Grossman Quartet (EE), Javier Pereiro Quartet and Eivissa Jazz Experience 2008 (BSP)
Saturday 6th, Sebastian Chames Quartet (EE), Christian Koxholt Quartet and Mina Agossi Trio (BSP)
