Big Brother Ibiza

enhance the security

Ibiza Town council is finally having video surveillance cameras installed in two of the town's busiest hotspots. The Marina will have 4 cameras placed at strategic points and Sa Penya will have one.

Costing €89,600, the cameras will be used for more than just seeing how you're getting on with the rest of the housemates in the villa you're sharing. Undoubtedly they will help the police to enhance the security when thousands of tourists throng together in the evenings and will discourage opportunist petty thieves from operating.

The news of the cameras comes just after it has been announced that two radar traps near the San Rafael tunnel will become active in an effort to slow down motorists approaching it. So now you know, please keep to the speed limits on the new road.
