no less than 15 exhibitions
November in Ibiza is traditionally a month when we take a break, wind down after the season and prepare for Christmas. However there's still a plethora of cultural activities to be had this month including theatre, cinema and concerts.
A glance at local newspaper Diario de Ibiza's Cultural Agenda today reveals no less than 15 exhibitions of paintings, drawings and sculpture around Ibiza's art galleries and bars. Even better, the
annual Art Supermarket in the Vara de Rey has already started.
In its 16th year, the supermarket has paintings and
drawings for sale at considerable discounts from around 30 artists from Ibiza and the mainland. It's open Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.30 to 21.30 and Sundays 11.00 to 14.00 and
18.00 to 21.00 until January 5th.
Last year I bought two colourful little numbers by Borja Guijarro, a young artist from near Madrid, for a snip. Here's one pictured above left.
