fantastic places to eat local specialities

We've nearly all heard of Ibiza but not so many of us know Robert Maklowicz. Well, for the uninitiated, he's a TV celebrity chef from Poland in the style of Keith Floyd but without the wine, or Gordon Ramsay without the swearing.

Maklowicz has recently been filming some deft cheffing in Ibiza and in order to make the programme more interesting he sets his table up in different stunning locations to prepare examples of local cuisine.

The narrow cobbled streets of the old citadel of Ibiza, Cala d'Hort with its magnificent views of Es Vedra and of course San Anonio to the backdrop of the wonderful sunset, were chosen as typifying Ibiza. What fantastic places to cook, and then eat, local specialities like sofrit pages (chicken, lamb and potato casserole with saffron), arroz de matanzas (pork and rice) and flao (a herb flavoured cake).

You don't have to be a celebrity chef to enjoy Ibiza's lovely locations and hearty local cuisine so why not try some in our wonderful restaurants on your next visit?
