party like it's nine-ninety-nine

Next Friday (12th May) sees the start of Ibiza's annual trip down the time tunnel to the good old medieval days. The medieval fair and festival commences then, and lasts the whole weekend, as we party like it's nine-ninety-nine!

As usual there'll be musicians, jugglers, mummers, acrobats to keep the crowds - tens of thousands of people on each day - entertained from cock-crow to sundown.

Again, as in past years, the market section with its many stalls will be selling arts, crafts and products from the time. This year the prisoners at Ibiza gaol will have their own stall selling ceramics made in the prison workshops and all proceeds will go to a mental health charity.

Can we suggest that, as a treat, the prisoners be hung from their shackles the right way up as a nice change from being upside down all the time?
