best dishes at knock-down prices

The Association of Bars, Restaurants and Cafes of Ibiza and Formentera came to a mouth-watering decision at its annual meeting last week. Once again, they’ll be having their yearly gastronomy show, the fifth, at Ibiza’s Recinto Ferial exhibition hall.

Buoyed up by the enormous success of last year’s exhibition, they’ve promised that this year’s – to be held on 22 and 23 April at the same venue – will be even better.

What happens is that a dozen or so restaurants all provide their best dishes at incredibly low knock-down prices to an eager public which is numbered literally in its thousands.

It’s an amazing opportunity to sample some fantastic gourmet creations for only a few Euros and as you can imagine, there’s a really good atmosphere with all these top class eateries under one roof.

What a shame it’s held outside the main tourist season!
