Just imagine having more roubles than could buy a championship winning football team. Let's face it you wouldn't sit freezing in a stand every fortnight, you'd come to Ibiza! One anonymous Russian magnate did just that and threw the party of all parties last weekend.

The venue was the magnificent mansion on the Illa des Bosc which dominates Puerto San Miguel and belongs to the proprietors of a chain of Dutch department stores. The 40 guests were flown in by private jet and accommodated in a nearby luxury hotel and several private villas.

During the party the guests munched their way through 11 kilos of top quality Russian caviar swilled down with the finest Russian vodka. The best is yet to come though, when we tell you that the entertainment was provided by the Gypsy Kings, the most famous Spanish group in the world, but who are actually from France.

The only disappointment for the partygoers was that Julio Iglesias, who had been booked for an ice cold million bucks, was unable to perform because of technical problems with his orchestra.

Now that's some party!
