Local boy Miguel Ángel Silva, ex local policeman turned singer, who just reached number two in the Spanish top 40, may be about to pursue a career in politics. It seems that Micky, who rose to stardom on TV programme 'Operación Triunfo' (Fame Academy in Britain), has been put on the list of candidates for the job of mayor of San Antonio.

It seems that Micky's charisma, empathy with young people, and his knowledge of security and criminal methods, put him right up there with established politicians for the job. Once again it just goes to show that anything can happen in Ibiza - or does it? As this piece of news was announced on 28th December, the Day of the Innocent Saints, we have absolutely no idea whether it's serious or not!
