This is our new section in which we give praise where it's due or administer a severe verbal thrashing when things aren't what they should be.

Our first Spotlight thumbs up goes to the temporary ice rink, which despite a stuttering start with staffing and breakdown problems has so far drawn over 9000 skaters through its doors and has a bar designed by swish nightclub El Divino.

But it's a big thumbs down to the Iberia pilot who brought 150 passengers from Barcelona to Ibiza on Christmas Eve without a single piece of luggage. All 150 had to spend Christmas Eve with only the contents of their hand baggage until their cases arrived on Christmas day because, apparently, the plane would have been delayed if the pilot had waited for the bags to be loaded!
