Shiver me timbers, shipmates, it's another nautical article and nothing at all to do with Jennifer Lopez! Balearia, the ferry company which runs the route from Ibiza to Palma has announced that the number of passengers using this service has quadrupled in only 2 years, carrying 96,000 in 2002 as opposed to 25,000 in 2000.
They say that clients value the punctuality, regularity and comfort of the service that runs from city centre to city centre in only 2 hours. Having used the super fast ferry service myself I can certainly agree, as do many people who use it as an economical alternative to get to Palma to connect with the easyJet flights to Britain.
