Post Early for Easter

Have you ever wondered why it is that when you're on holiday here, no matter how early you post your postcards you always arrive home a fortnight before they do? The answer is simple - our post office is hopeless! And now it's official, a recent report has revealed the shocking truth that in San Jose alone, over 45,000 pieces of post are lying around, waiting to be delivered. Workers blame the fact that staffing levels are the same as 30 years ago, while the population has increased many fold. Another problem which adds to the confusion is that thousands of people who have a San Jose postcode because they live there, actually have their mail delivered by the San Antonio post office, a detour which can add several days to the already long delivery time required. It sounds like only a bit of common sense is required here to give us a half-decent service!
