Micro-concerts, amusements and skating in the park for Christmas 2016

Christmas is in full swing now on Ibiza and here's a selection of events that you won't want to miss out on. Music of all kinds is on offer as well as some great winter treats for all.

This Saturday 17 December, head to Santa Eulalia where from 11 h there's music in the main streets of the town given by students of the Municipal School of Music, followed by a concert given by the same students in Plaza España from 12 h.

For something quite different in Ibiza Town there's musical combat with the “Battle of the MCs” from 19 h in the Christmas square of Plaza Antoni Albert i Nieto.

Big band magic can be had at the Can Ventosa Cultural Centre with the City of Ibiza Symphony Band's Christmas concert of warming and soothing sounds from 12 h.

If a buzzy atmosphere is more your style then in San Antonio that day from 10.30 h to 20 h in the Christmas tent on the seafront promenade of Passeig de ses Fonts is the Day of Solidarity.

Here, you can enjoy a festival of shows featuring music as well as artistic and gymnastic displays. Food stalls with cakes, sweets, tapas and pintxos mean you won't go hungry.

A series of cool micro-concerts are happening all over Ibiza Town during Christmas with Tales of Gloom (23 December); Arturo Pueyo, Chema Pellico and Alfredo Souza (24 December); Ivan Domènech and Joan Barbé (29 December); Rels (30 December) and into January, Poison Ivy on the 4th. You can see where all these mini concerts will be by downloading the full Ibiza Town Christmas programme.
