Gay Party Conclusion

Boy what a season! This year promoters exceeded our expectations with their parties and shows. WOW. Despite bad press and the "crisis"  everybody had a ball!

MATINEE GROUP made sure the island rocked. Having moved to Amnesia this year and offering a prime show, just looking made your mouth water and reach for air. Must admit, simply sensational. Not to be missed if you are on the island.

Our LA TROYA is also back at Amesia. Definitely my choice. There was a lot of disagreement about the music, as Oliver wasn't DJ'ing anymore. Still, the party went with a bang. Let's see what Brasilio comes up with for next season.

SUPERMARTXE settled down in Privilege and was a real hit. Every Friday the biggest club in the world revelled. In my opinion, the best show on the island. Of course, you'll find a mixed crowd here, like in all big clubs on Ibiza; but that's just what makes this place so different.  Congratulations Manuel.

On Saturdays THE FACE at Privilege was hosted by well-known Baby Marcello and DJ Oliver. Fastastic sound, a colourful show full of glitter, glamour, trannies and more great people. Excellent take off for THE FACE. Keep it up!!!

Every Tuesday Martina in Playa d'en Bossa -  the club in Hotel Garbi -  called to join their party SCANDAL. Despite all the straight crowd, there were some really "gay-friendly" nights, thanks to Juanito, Fred and Paul managing the door and PR. Pre-Parties were held in the beach club Ushuaïa, with DJ KAE in charge of the booth. At midnight doors opened at the Martina to fabulous shows with artists from the famous Circ du Soleil and even theme parties. Really chic! The club is cute and DJ KAE plays a good set - he's a winner for great atmosphere. Prices are still civilized and there's plenty for the eye. Even in July and August, when the crowd is very mixed, it was still the most gay venue.

On Sundays Pacha put on FETISH - watch out, this is just the name of the party. Even so, quite nice. A lot of young people. Just a pity it isn't what you expect.  Still worth a night out.

Of course, not to forget: our forever-loved ANFORA in the heart of the old town. This small club - by the way the one and only gay club on Ibiza - is already a legend with its 70ies Party on Thursdays. Seams nearly split here and even in the darkroom it gets tight - which can be fun. The barkeepers know their guests, so the atmosphere is so much more familiar.  With a good drag show on Sundays, it was like every year - a great place to meet up with old and new friends.

I'm already looking forward to more great parties, sensational shows, eye catching bodies and, of course more of you!
