my wife and i stayed at the el cortijo from may 24th 2011. i would not hessitate to rec mmend these apartments to anyone.the pub in general[the naggs head]provides fantastic food from garys kitchen and the staff especially STEVEthe barman can not do enough for you to have a memorable stay.

Appartment decent size with 2 ring hob & microwave oven , fridge, kettle & toaster and enough pots, pans & plates etc in kitchen area. Good size bedroom with plenty storage space. Sitting / dining area spacious with balcony at side of building which was shaded by the large pine trees. Nice pool area at back of the property with plenty of sunbeds. Good service and food in the adjacent Nags Head Pub which had Sky Sports for all sporting events. Reception & shop open from 9am til 2pm with limited selection. Quite location yet only a short stroll to main area of Es Cana for varied selection of shops,bars,restaurants, bus stop and ferry jetty. Local beach within 5 minute walk and Cala Nova beach about 15-20 minutes away. Plenty to do & see for all ages.

This was our second visit to El Cortijo and we have no complaints. This is a great base for Es Cana and is local to everything but just far enough away so that at midnight all hotels and bars close. We did usethe facilities of the Cora Playa which is to the left of the El Cortijo as you are facing it, which was fab for the kids as the pool is huge and also entertainment in the evening is fab and they welcome non-residents. We would definitely go back Deana, Gary, Jack (age 13) and Charlotte (age 10) Pugh.

We had a great time at the El Cortijo Apartments. Apartments are basic - but all you need - bed side lamp would have been nice - but that's just me!. Staff were friendly and helpful - especially Adrian who was a star and went out of his way to help. Pool is fine - we would have used it more if there had been some umberellas - but there is some shade. We ate in the pub a couple of times - steaks are excellent. Es Cana is nice quietish place for a holiday - bit british though. beach is lovely and plenty of places to eat.
