Hostal Cas Mallorqui

2 Star Cas Mallorqui Hostel, Portinatx, Ibiza Hostal Cas Mallorquí, Portinatx

This idyllic retreat overlooks the most picturesque of the 3 bays of Portinatx, on the quiet, idyllic, northern coast of Ibiza. And, as you sit looking seaward, from the terrace built over the huts of local fishing boats, and overlooking the beach, thoughts of ancient pirates, smugglers, secret coves and caves readily spring to mind.

Cas Mallorqui has nine rooms all newly renovated & decorated to a high standard, complete with en suite bathrooms, T.V, air-conditioning (hot & cold), telephone and a private terrace.

Sit and enjoy views of transparent blue sea and the changing hues in spectacular sunsets – and maybe the sail of a distant pirate ship?

Breakfast, which is included in the rates, may be enjoyed inside the light and airy dining room or on the large terrace overlooking the beach.

In the evening you can dine a la carte in the restaurant on the freshest of fish, the catch of the day from two local fishing boats. Lobster could not be more fresh, you select from the tank.

You have easy access to the secluded sandy beach, where, apart from lazing & swimming you can actually go searching for treasure in the warm clear blue Med, diving with the famous club Subfari across the beach. They also provide a variety of watersports: water skiing (you can have lessons), Zodiac boating and pedaloes.

The rugged coastline with hidden coves and the surrounding countryside will reward walkers with some of the most breathtaking, panoramic vistas imaginable, but be careful not to trip over a hidden chest full of gold.

Portinatx is a quiet hideaway but there are some little treasures of local bars, cafes and souvenir shops. There are also buses to Santa Eulalia which are well worth taking.

My partner and I (both 50) spent a lovely relaxing fortnight in Cas Mallorqui July 10. What a lovely place. All room balconies overlook the lovely smaller beach and harbour. Hours spent watching people pottering about on boats. Continental breakfast plentiful and delicious. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant not much english spoken. I would highly recommend this place to people wanting a quiet restful place to stay. Rooms are not lavish but adequate with efficient aircon, shower and comfy (single) beds - no entertainment, only spanish TV in rooms but suited us fine. Portinatx very easily walkable - a pleasant small town with enough bars and restaurants to keep us happy for two weeks. Would definitely go back.

Cas Mallorqui is in a fantastic location overlooking a quiet bay (at least in April!) The rooms were basic but had everything we needed and the balcony and views made up for that. Excellent value for money. The staff made us feel welcome and were friendly, polite and professional in everything they did. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a more authentic Ibizan experience.
