Beaches along the Bay of San Antonio, Ibiza (Sant Antoni)
You're never far from a beach, five small ones are within short walking distance and in fact a favourite way to start - or end - the day, is a stroll along the shoreline path connecting the beaches that all have bars open 'til late.
You can also take a ferry boat to one of the nearby beaches, such as Cala Conta or Cala Bassa. They depart hourly from many landing points along the bay.
The main beach
Below the splendid promenade, the Town Hall have created an extremely good long, wide beach of fine, white sand drawn from the sea (in June 2002).
The waters are clean and shallow, safe for children and very inviting for less confident swimmers.
There are excellent watersports facilities, and the water quality is high.

As you walk down the bay, you can find several other smaller sandy beaches, with watersports and kiosks. Predictably crowded in the summer months, they are nonetheless ideal for a swim and are conveniently near the hotels lining the bay.
