Ibiza photo exhibit shows paradise in print

Mesmeric monochrome display

This Friday 13 November sees the inauguration of a new black and white photography exhibition at the Ibiza Best Photo Gallery in Ibiza Town. Entitled ‘Tres Mirades,' the photos have been curated by Vincent Planells, the gallery manager: images featured include his own works as well as those of his two partners, Esperanza Jimenez (Xiqui) and Pere Planells.

The three men have been long time amateur photographers for many years and on show is a set of 15 photos providing a personal depiction of the many facets of Ibiza. The images show characters, landscapes and various aspects of the island.

As well as the gallery, the three photographers are co-founders of the Ibiza Best Photo Facebook page, which provides a huge variety of pictures displaying the many sides of Ibiza, with the aim of helping to preserve what the trio feels to be the paradisiacal nature of this White Isle. The Facebook page has over 180 contributors who all provide their work for free so that the page's 11,000 followers are able to appreciate the wonder of the island.

This year in April, the gallery launched its online gallery, which also features the work of its many photographers. Also available are high resolution pcitures for sale as well as royalty-free images in multiple sizes.

The opening starts from 8pm tomorrow and runs until 22 November during regular gallery opening hours, which are 10am-1.30pm and 6pm -8pm Monday to Friday and 10am-1.30pm on Saturdays.

It promises to be a great show for Ibiza lovers everywhere, so we hope to see you there.
